Support A Refugee Project
Support A Refugee Project
Refugees living in Malaysia frequently find their own coping mechanisms and solutions to their plight. Refugees explore programmes that are most relevant to their community and implement these projects best they can with the restricted resources they have. UNHCR assists by finding ways to add value to the work refugees are already doing, and one concrete way is finding donors to support the various assistance projects run by refugees.

The Refugee School Adoption Programme is an opportunity for concerned individuals and organisations in Malaysia to explore avenues of supporting educational programmes for refugee children through financial and non-financial help directly to these schools. Project Self Help
Project Self Help is an innovative new programme launched by the HELP Education Group and the UNHCR to give young refugees a chance to learn new skills for their future.

The Social Protection Fund is a small grants programme in aid of refugee self-help projects. The grants are designed to give the refugee projects the support they need to become self-sufficient.

Refugee Welfare Fund
The UNHCR's Refugee Welfare Fund, managed by our NGO partner the Buddhist Tzu Chi, provides emergency support to the health-related needs of refugees in Malaysia, particularly in the area of life-saving medical assistance.
